A 24-hour online theatre project.
Welcome to Monologue/Song in a Day! Join us in a free online theatre competition in which you will write, perform, and upload an original monologue or song based on a randomly drawn theme within 24 hours!

WHAT IS IT?
Similar to a Play in a Day, Monologue/Song in a Day 2020 is a theatre competition in which participants write, perform, and upload an original monologue or song!
A theme will be drawn at the top of the 24 hours at 6pm CST on Friday, April 24 that will have to be incorporated into every piece. Everything else that happens in the next 24 hours is up to the creator! We do ask that all material is appropriate for middle school age participants. Submissions will be uploaded to YouTube with the link submitted to a Google Form (sent out during the event), so we can see your work. After the 24 hours, a panel of judges will view the work and decide on awards!

While this is a competition, what matters most is that our participants have fun with the process!
